Day 1: July 2, 2027 – Malta

Welcome to Malta! Upon arrival in Valletta, you’ll be met and transferred to our hotel for a one night stay. This afternoon, enjoy a tour of Valletta. The balance of the evening is yours to unwind and relax before setting sail tomorrow.

Day 2: July 3 – Set Sail

We board our ship, the Variety Voyager, at 2PM. After settling in we’ll gather on deck for an essential safety drill before setting sail. This evening, enjoy a welcome cocktail and dinner as we set sail against the backdrop of the sparkling Mediterranean Sea for our first port of call, Port Empedocle, Sicily.

Day 3: July 4 – Port Empedocle, Sicily

Awaken in the serene embrace of Port Empedocle, a coastal gem on Sicily’s southern shore, where you’ll be greeted by its tranquil charm and storied maritime legacy.  We’ll then join a small group tour visiting Agrigento, home to the UNESCO-listed Temple Valley, where ancient Greek ruins whisper tales of antiquity. Traverse this archaeological wonderland, immersing yourself in its rich history before venturing seaside to witness the famed “Turkish Stairway,” a spectacle of white cliffs. The balance of the day is at leisure to explore and enjoy.  This evening, enjoy dinner onboard and a cocktail demonstration led by our skilled bar manager. We’ll discover the secrets behind crafting two signature cocktails, complete with recipes to impress your loved ones back home. As dusk descends, we bid farewell to Port Empedocle, setting course for our next enchanting stop: the charming town of Trapani, Sicily.

Day 4: July 5 – Trapani, Sicily

Early this morning our ship gracefully docks at the idyllic coastal enclave of Trapani, steeped in centuries of history. Its charming old town and lively harbor offer a glimpse into its rich seafaring legacy. We’ll also join a group tour to the impeccably preserved medieval town of Erice. Delight in a panoramic exploration, visiting iconic landmarks such as the Castle of Venus and picturesque churches while soaking in breathtaking vistas. Upon return to the port, enjoy lunch at your leisure. As evening descends, savor a sumptuous dinner back on board, culminating another unforgettable day.

Day 5: July 6 – Trapani and Palermo, Sicily

The morning and early afternoon are free to spend on your in Trapani. Stroll its labyrinthine cobblestone streets, adorned with pastel-hued facades, and uncover hidden gems like quaint piazzas, ornate churches shops and boutiques. At approximately 1:30pm, we set sail for our next destination, the vibrant capital of Sicily, Palermo.  This evening we’ll enjoy a special Wine Tasting Experience during which we will enjoy a beautiful selection of Italian and Greek wines, preparing our palate for our 4-course meal. We reach Palermo around 8pm, leaving you time on your own to continue your evening with an aperitivo at a trendy café, sipping on a refreshing Aperol spritz or sampling local wines paired with a selection of savory snacks.

Day 6: July 7 – Palermo, Sicily

Palermo is a captivating tapestry of ancient legacies and modern vitality that beckons us with its rich cultural heritage and vibrant energy. From Phoenician to Roman, Arab to Norman, the city’s streets echo with centuries-old influences, weaving a dynamic urban mosaic. Wander through the historic center, where narrow alleys lead to Baroque wonders and majestic palaces, interspersed with lively markets and bustling piazzas. We’ll dive deeper into the history of the city with a Sicilian food tour, sampling local delicacies like cannoli and arancini. After a delightful dinner onboard, we bid farewell to Palermo our ship sets sail for our next enchanting destination: the island of Lipari.

Day 7: July 8 – Lipari, Aeolian Islands

We awaken to the tranquil shores of Lipari, the crown jewel of the Aeolian Islands, steeped in myth and embraced by stunning natural beauty. We’ll experience the island’s allure with a half-day tour, starting with panoramic vistas at Quattrocchi and a visit to Quattropani, offering captivating views of Salina. Explore a Spanish-built castle-turned-cathedral and museum, where artifacts from prehistoric to ancient Greek & Roman times await discovery. After the tour, enjoy free time in the village. Tonight, indulge in a culinary journey inspired by Sicilian and Italian flavors, accompanied by captivating music. As we bid farewell to Lipari around 6:30 pm, our voyage continues towards the enchanting shores of Sorrento, promising another unforgettable chapter in our adventure.

Day 8: July 9 – Sorrento, Amalfi, Italy

As morning breaks, we glide into the enchanting embrace of Sorrento, a jewel along the Amalfi Coast renowned for its Mediterranean allure. Perched majestically atop cliffs overlooking the Bay of Naples, Sorrento captivates with its breathtaking vistas and timeless charm. After breakfast, we’ll head for Pompeii, a poignant journey into the past of the Roman Empire, frozen in time by the devastating eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD. Upon return, the port invites you to venture into its winding streets, adorned with vibrant bougainvillea-draped buildings to savor leisurely moments on your own exploration. You may wish to indulge in one of Sorrento’s many delights, sipping limoncello. As night falls, dinner is served onboard, and if you are looking for a touch of evening enchantment, you may wish to stroll the streets of Sorrento for a cocktail or a delicious gelato.

Day 9: July 10 – Naples, Italy

We arrive in Naples at dawn. After breakfast, we’ll transfer to our hotel in Naples followed by a city tour.

Day 10: July 11 – Departure

It’s time to say Ciao to Italy! This morning our private transfer will bring us to the airport for our onward jouney.
